You can create a new movie quickly by following the wizards. The wizard will guide you to create an animated Flash album, banner or navigation buttons in minutes.

Templates gallery
Once you follow the wizard, you can choose one template from the built-in template gallery. (Later on, you can also develop and add your own template to the template gallery. )

Button Maker

Inheriting the key feature of Glanda 2001a--Button maker, Glanda 2004 remains the function and even improve it better. Hundreds of button templates stored in the Button folder of the Resource panel. You can also add more at your pleasure. For each button template, you can edit its text, color, shape and URL, etc.


Effect

Dozens of built-in effects
Glanda supplies dozens of built-in effects so users can create animation easily for text, shapes and images. These built-in effects are classic ones that are selected from many wonderful samples carefully. It will let your movie be professional. (Later on, you can also develop and add effects to this effect library.)

Edit effects
After you add the effect to your movie, you also can change its parameters later to
implement different animation effects.

Add multiple effects
Glanda supports adding multiple effects to one object. There are two ways to play the effects: playing the effect under the order you defined or letting multiple effects show blended/combined. See stack effect.


Motion Path

Motion path is also an effect Glanda 2004 offers. You can also combine the motion paths with other animated effects. See Stack effect.

Currently, it has the Oval, Curve, Line and Scribble drawing tool to help you draw the path freely.


Stack Effect

The most unique and magic feature Sothink Glanda 2004 provides is that you can create new effect, completely different from the built-in effects, by using the Effect Stacking technology. With a few carefully chosen and configured effects you are able to achieve lots of very unique and stylish effects.

For example, all three movies below just use the built-in effects named Hastily stop 2 and Popple, and a curve motion path, but have different results.


Built-in Resources

Sothink Glanda supplies hundreds of well-designed resources including animated buttons and motion backgrounds so you don’t have to start from scratch. There are also a large amount of vector shapes, images, sound files supplied for your convenience.

As you can see the resources are grouped into Shape, Image, Sound, Button and Movie Clip . You can click each folder to see the resources in the preview window. To use them, just drag them from the preview window to the canvas. In the Sound folder, there are 79 mp3 and wav files in total.

In the Movie Clip folder, there are ready-made preloaders for you to use, and you do not need to write any action script. How to add a preloader to your movie?


Import External Resources from SWF

Glanda 2004 is able to import external resource (Shape, Image, Button, Sound and Movie Clip) from SWF files. Simply browse and choose a swf file in the Files panel. There will be a sign "+" like a folder in the folder tree. Expend it and then you can see and use the resources in it.


Drawing

Familiar drawing tools
Glanda provides drawing tools including Line, Pencil, Rectangle, Oval, Text, Reshape and Transform. You can create vector shapes consisted with variable lines and fill styles.

Edit easily
The Edit dialog provides options like color, fill, position and size, etc. You can edit the drawing easily.

Image format
Supports common image formats including BMP, JPEG and PNG. Even more it supports importing existing vector graphics such as AI, SVG and WMF/EMF.

Ruler, Grid and Alignment
You can simply arrange your objects with the assistant of ruler, grid and alignment options


Rich Format Text

Support rich format text such as bold, italic, character spacing, position, static and dynamic text and etc.


Sound

Glanda supports MP3 and WAV sound formats. It also supports stream sound. Unlike event sound, stream sound can be played as soon as enough frames are loaded. This feature is useful while large sound files are used in the movie.
